The OROS-80-ALK is designed to purify tap water and well water to provide clean, high-quality alkaline drinking water. The OROS-80-ALK features 6-stages of filtration; a 5 micron sediment filter (stage 1), 5 micron carbon block filters (stages 2 and 3), 0.0001 micron 50 GPD RO membrane (stage 4), a post-carbon filter (stage 5) and a US-made calcite alkaline filter (stage 6). The alkaline filter re-mineralizes the purified water with calcium carbonate to increase the pH/alkalinity of the purified water. The system uses 10 in. industry standard sized pre-filters (stages 1-3). OROS-80-ALK has not been evaluated to NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 58. The OROS-80-ALK is the combination of OROS-80, which is a NSF certified system (NSF/ANSI 42 for CTO and 58 for TDS), with OROS-ALK, an alkaline filter that has not been evaluated to NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 58.
